Jeff Resnick helped us make our first/second & third purchase - A Suzuki 4 wheeler (for the kids) and dirtbike (for me) then I decided it was time to get a mean two-wheel machine for the road (Kawasaki Ninja), and who was there for us? "May 2006, I was on a quest for my husband's birthday present. I had no clue about motorcycles - was pretty much ridiculed at both the local Triumph and Harley dealerships. Seems you gotta pass some kind of 'look or know' test before you qualify to get a salesman's attention there. Well. Not the same at Burcham's. Jeff Resnick (my salesman) understood I was a bit lost, he explained different features in a novice language I could easily follow. Bought Hubby's bike a few days later (sheeese, the money I saved!!), had them ride it to the house (Hubby just came home from work, I was still at work) for a 100% shock 'n awe surprise! (2006 Suzuki C50 Boulevard - black). Ordered some stuff as add-ons, and the parts team (Gunther, Mark & Tre were great!). Got so crazy about his bike I learned to ride in 2007. Hubby bought me a Yamaha V Star 650 Classic (black) and I am so in love with riding.... I guess you can say I'm a cage convert - and that was hugely due to the pre-buy support: Jeff pointed me in the right direction for a bit of training, for that I am eternally grateful! (Probably never would've tried it with the attitude toward me at the other dealerships - I guess they couldn't get past my skirt and "Mommy" image.) Fast forward a few months, 7/07, and a whitetailed doe t-boned the old Boulevard - totalled it (flipped about 5 times doing 45) - but Hubby was o.k. - deer died - Boulevard went to motorcycle heaven. August 2007, Hubby replaced the old C50 with a brand spanking new red and white 2008 C50T Boulevard. What a beauty. We are treated with 100% respect, dignity, fairness and humanity each and every time we come in their shop, (3 bikes, 9 helmets, 6 jackets in 16 months at Burcham's - sometimes drop by just to browse & say hi). Whether I am searching for hot pink gloves, service, or parts, Larry, Vicki, Jeff, Mark, Gunther, Cindy - well, heck - everyone - speaks to us as if we were the only customer they ever had... They have gone well above and beyond what we expected - and have made us quite spoiled and delighted in the process!!! ; ) Looking for kiddos' bikes now and counting down the days till the new store is open.... The Star Stratoliner is everything you promised it would be and more! Everyone who has come into contact with is has been complimentary to awestruck by its appearance and/or performance as I have said before "They really have something here". Nigell echoed my sentiments and explained that Patrick Racing has one of them in house for research and development. "I stopped in your dealership with a friend on 11/09/05. He had to have some work done on his bike. While there we asked the gentleman working the service desk about a problem I was having with my bike--a Boulevard C50. He didnt have an answer,, so he took me right to two mechanics so I could discuss it with them. They were too as baffled. They stopped what they were doing and got on the phone with Suzuki, and discussed my problem with a gentleman named Bob Cramer. He was very aware of the problem I was having and told me how to go about getting the defective part on my bike replaced. Now I have never had any dealings with your dealership in the past, except for visiting when my friend purchased his bike from you, and again when he has taken it there for service. On this visit, I was extremely pleased with the way the gentlemen went out of their way to help me. This is completely opposite of the way I have been treated at my dealership in Va. Beach. Everytime I go to them with a problem, they look at me like I am stupid. Well they have lost me as a customer. In the future, I will be traveling 100 miles out of my way to come to your dealership for all my servicing needs. You can be proud of the staff you have working at Burchams. Getting the type of help as I did today is really out of the ordinary in todays world. Thanks to all. "

"GOOD-bye to Shelly I would like to ask all of you to pause for a moment to say good-bye to Shelly. Shelly was killed last Friday while cruising here in Providence, Rhode Island. We moved here last July and she really loved the scenery, wind in her face, and roads, especially those ones running along the ocean. Shelly was one of the best bikes I have ever owned. We first met at your showroom back in 2003. She was the last of your "03"V-Star 1100 Silverado Classics. It was love at first sight. In the 2 yrs that Shelly and I were together she kept her fantastic looks. She still purred every time I got on her. Tomorrow the mean insurance people will come to take her away. They said that" life saving measures" were just too expensive, especially with the internal damage she sustained in the crash. I like to think she took the major force of the hit from the car(that ran the stop sign)so that I may live and maybe someday, find another like her so that I may love again. her beautiful chrome engine guard on the right side protected my leg, but after I flew into and over her clear, shiny windscreen, those crash bars went into her engine.
